Just perfect. Exceeded our expectations. We were stuck in town due to car problems and this was the perfect place to stay. Fresh mandarins from the tree in the back garden. Free washing machine and powder were just what we needed. The BBQ are was great too. Room more than big enough 2 queen beds, digital TV, Twinnings tea, toaster and microwave. Iris and Joe could not have been more helpful or accommodating!! Homely welcome was much appreciated a lovely place to stay! Really felt being home away from home

Basic and a little dated, but fabulous friendly service from the staff. It is really close to the Overlander complex, so you can walking to dinner is a casual stroll. There is a lovely large backyard, which is unusual for a motel room. We loved our stay.

Hosts Joe & Iris are very friendly and welcoming The rooms were clean and refreshing with fresh towels each day. The swimming pool is a great way to relax after touring the town of Mount Isa. Recommend for the better way to enjoy your stay in Mt Isa.

Extremely friendly and very helpful staff while we were staying here as a family. The location and amenities were spectacular. We will certainly be recommending this to others and I know we for sure will be staying with Copper Gate again in near future.

First room we put in, the mattress was sagging in the middle and the springs were poking through, the ensuite door did not give any privacy, the next day, after a sleepless night due the bed and the traffic noise, we were moved to another room which was an improvement, though the traffic noise still remained. I feel that the motel is over priced and that I was misled by the earlier review regarding judging s book by its cover.

Not only is this motel a pleasant surprise inside the rooms but the owners are just really good people. A pleasure to visit.
