The Saumarez Homestead app is really helping the social media presence of Saumarez Homestead. Visitors are now able to book tours and get information about the history of Saumarez as well as pictures of the homestead, gardens and farm area. The built- in QR scanner is allowing visitors to get more information about displays and features of the gardens. Function organizers and brides to be can now book online for their venue hire. We can now make offers to potential visitors and reward them when they visit Saumarez. The GPS capability is also helpful in providing directions for visitors to find us and register when they are here. I strongly recommend other tourist attractions and businesses in general develop and publish their own apps to broaden the demographic of their customers, in particular to Smartphone users.
