Apply and after wax lotion immediately after waxing. Exfoliation is very important after waxing, but we'd suggest leaving that for 48 hours to reduce the risk of irritation.

Accepted Answer

Yes, when you have a warm shower or bath prior to waxing, it allows your pores to open. This means that the hair comes out easier during the waxing service.

Will waxing permanently remove my hair?

Accepted Answer

No, whilst some people may be very lucky and have little hair regrowth after many years of waxing, others (most) will still get regrowth of hair. However, often the hair will grow back softer and therefore will be less noticeable.

We use single use tools wherever possible and all other tools are sterilised in a hospital grade autoclave. The autoclave is regularly serviced and the log book is checked by a Health & Safety Officer.

We only use hard/hot wax for eyebrows as the skin in this area is very sensitive and the hard/hot wax is far more gentle.

We will apply powder to show you the shape we are going to do, that allows you the opportunity to let us know if you would like your brows thicker, thinner or more arched.

Yes, we ensure that we prepare the area beforehand to ensure less irritation and we apply an after wax lotion to ease any discomfort and to lessen irritation.

Yes, we can do eyebrow and eyelash tinting during the same service and recommend doing so to really show off your fresh brows.

We love to look after our guests on their most special day and welcome bridal parties into our beautiful salon. In fact, we recommend that you talk to us about having photo's taken in our romantic, French Provincial styled salon.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer this service as it is too disruptive to the running of our salon and therefore inconveniences our regular salon guests. We recommend that you use a mobile hairdresser that specialises in weddings, as they are better equiped for this type of service.

Yes, we recommend that you book in for a 'Bridal Consultation'. This allows us to gain a thorough understanding of what style you want to where on the day, we can then provide you with a printed quote.

How long before the wedding should I have my 'Bridal Consultation'?

We recommend that you talk to us about your wedding plans as soon as you set the date (as early as possible). This allows us to set a plan for your hair growth/colour requirements, that will ensure you can have the style that you want to achieve for your special day.

Do you sell hair extensions?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we do sell hair extensions, however we will only sell you a product that is perfectly suited to your style and budget. We don't stock only one brand, because one brand does not suit all of our guests. We will provide a free consultation and then order the exact extensions that you need/require. This process often only takes a couple of days and we also colour your new extensions in this time.

I've had a terrible job done of my hair extensions at another salon, can you fix it?

Yes, we often fix poorly fitted hair extensions and also ensure that they are colour matched properly.

I don't know how to look after my extensions, can you give me advice?

Accepted Answer

Yes, of course. Come in and have a chat to us and we will ensure that you understand how to get the best out of your extensions. We can also remove, do a hair service for you and then reapply your extensions. Just have a chat to us, it will mean that you get more value out of your extensions.

We can closely colour match extensions for you and then we colour them ourselves, to ensure that they are a beautiful match for your natural hair. Book a free consultation to discuss how best to plan for your extensions.

Yes, we do both and in fact have a lovely dedicated nail bar with a relaxing pedi spa massage lounge. This ensures that you can totally relax during your pedicure.

We us a new disposable manicure set for each service and you are given that set to take home. Anything that is not disposable is sterilised in a hospital grade autoclave. We also fully sanitise the entire station between each service.

Yes, we sell OPI and Nailsinc polishes as well as La Clinica hand/skincare products.

Yes, our Nail Technician is a fully qualified Beauty Therapist and the salon owner is a fully T.A.F.E qualified Beauty Therapist/Nail Technician.

Carinya prefer to use Australian made products wherever possible. CPR and De Lorenzo are also Australian owned and operated. They both manufacture their products without testing on animas, are organic/vegan products.

What should I do or not do prior to getting waxed?

Don't apply any creams/lotions etc the day before or the day of your appointment. Don't exfoliate in the 48 hours prior to your appointment. Certainly, do not shave prior to your appointment as the hair needs to be around 1/4' long to get the best waxing result.
