About Canine Perspective The

The Canine Perspective is a dog behavioural specialist helping to improve relationships between dogs and their owners in Ballina, Lennox Head and surrounding areas. Understanding your dog's behaviour is essential to the positive management of concerns such as barking, digging, jumping up, separation anxiety, and aggression towards humans and other dogs. While helping you understand your dog, our Northern Rivers dog behaviouralist can also show you tips and strategies to help you improve your dog's behaviour. Insights into the nature of dogs are many and varied. Cues can be taken by observing the position of the tail, the ears, the head, and the body. There are also more subtle indications, such as tail wagging. The Canine Perspective can provide one-on-one training with both owner and dog as we well as group classes. Group classes are ideal to help dogs socialise and help train them not to be aggressive around other dogs. We strive to help owners better understand their dog's behaviour patterns . For example, when a dog wags its tail more to the right, its positive emotions are engaged. Other dogs are unruffled at the sight of this right-sided tail wagging. When a dog wags its tail more to the left, however, it's a sign the dog is feeling agitated and, on seeing this, other dogs become more anxious. We also provide training and school for barking dogs. A continually barking dog can be annoying for neighbours and stretch the bonds of neighbourly love. Let the experts at The Canine Perspective help both you and your dog enjoy a better bond.

I'm a 10 week old Staffy that was having trouble containing myself around Esther, a nearly 19 year old cat. I barked excitedly every time Esther was nearby. Sarah gave my human terrific advice that REALLY worked - and quickly too! Now I'm calm, the cat is calm and peace has been restored! Thank you Sarah! Would highly recommend Sarah's expertise.

Sarah is not only highly qualified, she gets results from reward-based training that makes it fun for your fur baby and stress free for the humans. Kind, patient and a true animal lover, you and your dog will find the entire process pleasurable!

Sarah is one of the most genuine people I have ever met. She has gone above and beyond what would be expected for a dog trainer and I will be forever greatful to her. She has a great approach-ability to her and is always willing to assist. Her business is a credit to her. Her K9 kindy classes were professional, fun laid back and well structured. She is extremely knowledgeable and it is easy to learn from the way she teaches. It was so much fun going to her classes. She really has a way about her that people and dogs both love :)

Sarah took a traumatised young pup and with her gentle ways she helped us transform her into a positive dog. She patiently introduced her to the "crate" and now she retreats to it at will. She introduced her to the "Thunder Vest" which worked a treat. Thank you Sarah!
