I recently had Adam quote, recommend and install 3M films on the "hot" side of the house. It is a pleasure dealing with such a professional tradesman from quote, product info and installation. Adam recently removed damaged window tint and replaced it with mirrored 3M tint. Although the tint was a little more expensive than others on the market, the end result is better than expected. I’ve also noticed the reduction in glare and temperature from the previous tint. I found Adam to be very professional and proud of his work. He was engaging and provided updates throughout the installation process, including tips for cleaning and maintenance. For my mind, the extra money has been well worth it. I recommend Cairns Window Tint.

What is the life expectancy of window film?

The life expectancy of window film is dependent upon multiple variables (climate, exposure to sun, etc.). The average life expectancy is about 10 years and beyond, though many customers have had window film for more than twenty years.

How do I clean the filmed surface after installation?

Window films may be washed with common washing solutions (no ammonia-based products) 30 days after installation. Abrasive cleaning agents and bristle brushes, which scratch the film, can’t be used. Synthetic sponges, squeegees, or soft cloths are recommended in addition to the cleaning solution. To maintain your warranty, do not use tape or other adhesive products on the film.
