So you charge upfront fees to assess items?

We only take a deposit upfront, which comes off your final bill. Generally, if something can be fixed for $250 or less, we do this while diagnosing. If it's going to be more than this, we will not go past your deposit without quoting a firm amount first.

Is my item worth repairing?

Generally it's hard to say without assessing it first. But the majority of repairs are worth between $100 to $500. And if your machine is worth this type of repair, than it's worth getting it assessed.
