Does our retaining wall require engineering and certification?

Engineering and certification requirements depend on the height of your retaining wall. Walls over 1 metre in height will require engineering. We assess each project individually and advise if engineering and certification are needed, and can arrange this service on your behalf, when required.

Is there a minimum job size that you do?

Yes, we do have minimum job requirements. For retaining walls, the minimum project size is 20 square metres. For fencing projects, we require a minimum of 20 linear metres. This helps us ensure efficiency and maintain the high standard of workmanship we're known for.

My neighbour convinced me to use them despite my first impression. The man quoted deliberately ignored me when I spoke. The job was delayed repeatedly, 3 months overall despite being urgent due to collapsing wall. Quote inaccurate as lots of extra charges. $400 extra for worker to go up and down a small ladder when putting pailings on the fence. Thousands of $ for "extra" skip bins & for extra gravel for drainage. The person quoting needs to improve their maths. Their equipment broke down & rain loosened soil so they charged thousands $ extra even though caused by their faulty equipment. Did not clean up public path next door which became slippery when wet. My husband had to clean this up. So I WOULD NOT USE BLUESTONE again nor recommend them.

Me and my neighbors are very happy with the results! Bluestone Fencing & Landscaping was able to book us and get a job done for us when we called them about an old rotting timber retaining wall on the boundary that was failing.
