The paint on the boards at the base of the house is peeling off as it is on the timbers above the deck. The tiling job was 2nd class in the bathrooms with the floors not being right. Love the design of the house however this workmanship has let the build down.

Hi Isabel, we apologize that you feel this way towards our workmanship. Your house was delivered in July 2018. Since then our maintenance diary shows that we have been to your house on 5 different occasions, most recently October 2020. Exposed painted timber does deteriorate, especially on the northern and western elevations. When we inspected the problems you were having, we did re-paint the sub-floor baseboards to the northern and western side of your house. The floor tiles you selected were laid on preset sheets 300 x 300, not each tile individually. So unfortunately the grout lines on these sheets are beyond our control. We also offered to fix the floor tile you indicated was raised, which you declined. Thanks

Never have I dealt with a more professional or friendly home building company! Austam made the process of building my dream home so easy and carefree! I have been looking at your Lachlan and love the design and the idea that all the homes are transportable. We live on a cattle block on the parents farm and would be just ideal for us. Cant wait to start planning and deciding which design.

We recently went to the AgQuip field day in Gunnedah this year and out of all the houses on display out there Austam Homes see to be the best value for money! Have recently enquired with Austam and they were more than happy to help with any questions we had and nothing was any trouble for them! 100% recommend these guys if your interested in building a new home!

A unique way of building a new home, but it was a great experience and Austam were great. The designs to choose from were limitless and at last my husband and I could choose exactly what we wanted and were a part of every step of the process. There were a few hiccups, however all in all the adventure was painless. The workmanship was out of this world. Thank you to the team for a beautiful new home

The product promoted is of outstanding workmanship and there are so many choices and options. Very poorly built and when i asked for things to be fixed nothing seems to be covered under the builders warranty

Hi Annette, we apologise that you feel this way towards our company. We have just investigated more and have found that we did come and inspect the problems you were having three times in the first year of the delivery of you home which was 2009. In the 'Guide to Standard and Tolerences 2007', which you would have received in your handover pack, it outlines what is and isn't covered by the 6 year structural warranty/guarantee. Unfortunately the structural guarantee doesn't apply to the general wear and tear of step treads. Although upon further investigation we have supplied to you front verandah step treads in 2015 free of charge. If you have any other problems please don't hesitate to give our office a call. Thanks
