Altapac Auto Accessories was established in 1972 when its founder Mr. Paul "Pinky" Evans seized the opportunity to start the first automotive window tinting business on Australia’s east coast.
Following quick growth, Altapac moved to its current location along Park Avenue, Kotara, opposite the then Garden City shopping centre. Customers come to Altapac from all over Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, including Cameron Park, Hamilton, Belmont, Cardiff, Merewether, Adamstown, Mayfield, Charlestown, Warners Bay, Wallsend and Toronto.
Altapac has expanded its services to provide all manner of automotive accessories.
To maintain its position as leader in the field, Altapac has always been at the forefront of innovation, including the introduction of car phones during the 80s and mobile phones in the 90s. The mid-90s also saw Altapac develop computer-cut window tinting software to further enhance the efficiency and accuracy of its tinting processes.
Today, flat glass and automotive tinting remain the core products of the business. But we have expanded into automotive accessories with a huge range that includes roof racks, car alarms, spoilers and body kits, car care products, tow bars, cargo barriers, nudge bars and sunroofs.
Recently we expanded our business further into paint protection films, child restraints, van fit outs and vehicle signage.
Altapac is still owned by the Evans family and is still committed to providing its customers with the best service, products and pricing.
