All Type Sharpening

The old pair of rusty dull Sheffield shears that I found in dads garage are like new. I use them on all types of fabric and they work a treat. I could not afford to buy these shears new so the service I got from Tim has been invaluable. Tim was affordable, efficient and professional.

This is good. Really polite operator. Rang for a quote for some saws and politely gave a price. But then I said "great, but there are various, ones, a tennon and one is..." and then he goes, "oh, I thought you were talking about pruning saws". (Because that is only one type of saw on the planet, how daft of me). So I persisted and said "well how much for a 'saw' saw, like a saw that you saw with, as in (getting technical now) a saw for wood?" .....a HAND saw! (yay) "Oh hard to say mate". "But surely you must have". "I'd hate to hazard a guess, All Type Sharpening only does pruning saws, sorry it's a bad time, I'm in the middle of moving shop, I don't..." "That's fine Tim, just drop it" Summary: Tims demeanor was fantastic, I cant believe how I could be such a cantankerous customer, asking for a price when he's busy and expecting that he sharpens "All Types" of saws.

Had 4 sets of secateurs honed and sharpened by Tim. Came out sharper than when new! Thanks Tim, will definitely do business again

Maybe good with cheaper blades but do NOT take a good knife to be sharpened. Extensive repairs on a brand new knife after being unnecessarily ground and wire wheeled by All Types Sharpening. If it was only the sharpening that was not good I would not be writing this review but the sloppy care for the knife ( scratches on the polished hilt and deep grind mark, grind marks on the back of the blade where it meets the spine of the knife etc). Do not take a good knife to this place. Be wary of good reviews after this one is posted when it comes to knives. Don't want to run down the business when it comes to putting a mower blade on a grinder but beware with your decent knives.
