I contacted Les from AAA Electrical to assist me with putting in LED lighting in my 2 bedroom unit in Hamilton as I wanted to add a touch of elegance. I chose Les as he was a Hamilton local and appeared to have a lot of experience. I was very disapointed with the level of service and poor workmanship I received from Les as well as his rude and condescending attitude towards me when I pointed this out and lack of caring to help to sort out the issue. The LED lights that Les put in did look as I expected and they were not in alignment—e.g. it looks like the electrician did not measure the distance between the lighting. The light in the bathroom was on the side of the ceiling, completely off centre. When I raised this with Les his response was 'it's just the toilet'. In addition, the lights in two of the rooms did not work. I found myself in a difficult position as by the time I had the opportunity to check on the lights, my plasterer/painter had already done the patching work and painting of the ceilings so it would be very difficult to fix. Les then text messaged me to let me know that the lights now worked. However, when I went to look the lights did not work—I believe Les lied to me in order to be paid. In the end, as Les did not seem to think there was anything wrong with the work he had done, I had to find another electrician to help me with why the lights did not work—he was able to fix this and agreed that the lights were totally out of alignment. The second electrician helped me with installing 2 ceiling fans, though mentioned that it will look a bit out due to the misalignment. I really feel that I am going to have to redo the lighting in the next few years when I eventually move into the apartment and I am very unhappy with AAA Electrical.
