I needed a roof on my pergola and he said it would be fine to just put roofing sheets on it. He said that the structure of the pergola was fine. We had to tear the entire structure down 18 months later due to wood rot. One of the timber posts holding up the pergola snapped with a light hit of the hammer. My children could have been critically injured if we did not pull it down in time. it is just not good enough. look around people.
