Bakewell is a suburb of Palmerston that was established during the 1990s. It is located 25 kilometres east of Darwin.
Bakewell contains a number of well-maintained public parks, including the Flora McLaren Park, Bill Lewis Park and the Ida Scott Park. Just north of Bakewell is the picturesque Sanctuary Lakes area, which is a perfect spot for enjoying a picnic, taking a jog, and watching native flora and fauna.
