Saratoga is a residential suburb located in the Central Coast region of New South Wales. Colloquially known as “Saradise,” Saratoga is part of the City of Gosford local government area. Saratoga was previously exploited by European settlers for its bountiful citrus orchards. Recently, the area has been developed as an outer residential suburb. Because of its location, it is bordered on three sides by water and has become a popular place for fishing and water sports. Most of the residents of Saratoga go to Gosford or Erina to shop, but as of 2008, a shopping centre has also opened on Village Road. The small shopping centre has a petrol station, a movie rental store, a butcher, a hairdresser and a few shops.
