Formerly known as West Dapto, Horsley is a suburb in Wollongong in New South Wales. Since 1999, the suburb has been going through expansions and now has many developed residential areas. Further growth for housing projects is still possible around some areas of the suburb. While mostly surrounded by farmlands and residential areas, Horsley also houses a primary school that originally located in the neighbouring suburb of Dapto, a shop area and a community centre. There are also parks, playing fields and skate park grounds to the east, and a mountainous backdrop provided by Mount Bong Bong and Dapto Cliffs to the suburb’s west.
