Bellambi is a suburban town located within the local government area of the Wollongong City Council in New South Wales. One of the oldest structures in the area is the railway station, which has been present since 1889, located along the South Coast Line of NSW TrainLink. In 1858, the first jetty was built in Bellambi. A telegraph line between the suburb and Wollongong has been created on August 28, 1862. From 1863 to 1887, the town had constructed two more jetties.
Among the local tourist attractions and recreational sites in Bellambi include the Bellambi Lagoon Reserve, which is a wildlife conservation area.
