Kendall is located on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, on the Camden River. It was previously known as Camden Heads but was later renamed in 1991 after Henry Kendall, a poet who lived in the town from 1875 to 1881. Kendall is surrounded by lush farmlands to the west and Pacific Ocean to the east, and it numbers among the villages located in the Camden Haven River Valley. The town is the perfect place to explore nature because of its proximity to various forests, national parks and reserves. The Middle Brother National Park is popular with adrenaline junkies because it’s a great area for paragliding and hang gliding. For the milder set, bird watching is a popular outdoor activity in the Boorganna Nature Reserve, a reserve on the Comboyne Plateau that protects over 85 species of birds.
