Yamba is a town located in the Northern part of New South Wales. The town has a modest population but being a popular tourist destination, the population can triple during peak holiday seasons. Yamba’s proximity to the Yuraygir National Park and its 11 beaches are a few reasons why tourists flock to the town. Whale watching is a common activity from May to October, during which whales usually pass by the northern tip of Pippi beach. Dolphins are also quite common in Yamba and can be seen close to the shore. The town is also known for its relaxed lifestyle, with pubs and clubs that feature live music performances from time to time.
