Mummulgum is a small suburban community within the Northern Rivers section of New South Wales. Agricultural production serves as one of the rural area’s common industries. However, with the prevalence of modern technology, other occupations have flourished in the area. Local jobs include managerial positions, labourers, machinery equipment operators and community service workers. Based on 2011 census data, more than 83 % of the local population in Mummulgum was born in Australia.
Some of the town’s public infrastructure has been standing in the village for more than 100 years. For instance, the Mummulgum Public School is one of the oldest functional buildings in the area.
