Kalang is a suburb within the local government area of the Bellingen Shire located in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales. The Kalang River is a river of the Bellinger River catchment and is situated within the Great Dividing Range. It flows east before reaching its mouth at the Tasman Sea. Parts of the Kalang River are contained in the Bellinger River National Park, which is about 410 kilometres north of Sydney. The park is known for its preserved forests and natural habitats. Kalang is also near the Outdoor Fitness Centre, which promotes active lifestyles for all ages. There’s a children’s playground and picnic area within the centre as well as a 6-piece exercise trail set at Connell Park.
