This picturesque little town is a welcoming spot for those wishing to explore the Boot Booti National Park which stretches just South of Forster, hike the Bicentennial Trail, or sample fresh local oysters farmed in Wallis Lake. There are few places in the State that offer such a splendid choice of fishing, deep-sea, rock, river or beach.
The stretch of beach known as “One Mile” located near the residential area of Forster is extremely popular for tourists. It is a patrolled beach in holiday season and on weekends and hosts BBQ facilities, playground equipment and access to the Bennetts Head Lookout with 360 degree views. Dolphins can regularly be sighted surfing waves off the coast in the clear water.
