Casino is a town based in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. It lies on the banks of the Richmond River located at the junction of the Bruxner Highway and Summerland Way. It sits inland west from Lismore and Ballina on the east coast.
The town is named after Italy Monte Cassino with which it has a sister city agreement.
A rural country town, Casino is famous as one of Australia’s largest beef centres and therefore known as the “Beef Capital” of Australia.
