Brooms Head is a beachfront village within the local government area of Clarence Valley in New South Wales. The village was originally named Cakora Point but was called Brooms Head in 1870 when a broom washed up from the sea. Brooms Head is also informally known as “The Broom”. Brooms Head is situated in Yuraygir National Park’s heathland and is blessed with many beaches. The locals are friendly and the community is relaxed and peaceful, which makes the village attractive to tourists seeking solace from the hustle and bustle of busy city living. The caravan park is a practical and comfortable choice for accommodation right next to the main beach. The village is also home to a bowls club, a general store and a fast food restaurant.
