Arakoon is a suburb of the town of South West Rocks and administered by the Kempsey Shire local government area in New South Wales.
Historic sites in the Arakoon region include the Trial Bay Gaol, located right next to the local beach. The gaol was built in 1886 and continues to be a popular tourist attraction.
