Croppa Creek is a suburban community in the local government area of Gwydir Shire in New South Wales. In 1932 up to 1976, the town also used to be the location for a railroad station along the Boggabilla line between Moree and North Star. Today, Croppa Creek remains a regular loading area for trains that ship bulk agricultural commodities. The presence of the rail line paved the way for the local population to settle and grow progressively since the 1930s. Mixed farming now serves as the primary industry in the area that involves the production of wheat, barley and cotton, while also raising sheep and cattle.
