Roughly 110 kilometres away from the capital city of Sydney, the suburb of Barnsley is situated in the Lower Hunter Valley of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia. Its name was derived from Barnsley, South Yorkshire in England.
Several landscapes and waterscapes are found around the town of Barnsley, such as Edmunds Bay, Mount Vincent and Dewey Bay, to mention a few. Barnsley houses many nearby tourist attractions as well, including Tree Top Adventure Park, a company that was built in 1988 to provide treetop rope courses in Australia and Carole Frazer’s Local History Walks & Talks, which includes a tour for an hour or two around the hidden treasures of Newcastle.
The district of Barnsley is primarily connected by the transport services of the Terelba train station and also via the Newcastle Airport. Town visitors who wish to stay for vacation may choose from a wide selection of hotels, such as Cardiff Executive Apartments, Hotel Jesmond and Newcastle’s Bed & Breakfast, among several others.
