Woolgoolga is a town located on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, on the Pacific Highway. The town was well-known for banana growing, but is also popular with tourists because of its temperate climate and proximity to the coast. There are also cafes and a pub where travellers driving through the Pacific Highway usually stop by. The town’s only pub, Seaview Tavern is known to have live band performances during the weekend. Having the largest Sikh population in Australia, Woolgoolga has two Gurdwaras or temples. Woolgoolga also hosts Curryfest, which is a large gathering honouring the local Sikh community. The festival usually attracts about 10,000 people yearly.
