Spring Flat is a town within the local government area of the Mid-Western Regional Council in the Central West region in New South Wales. The area is next to the Castlereagh Highway. The Mid-Western Regional Council came to existence in 2004 when the Mudgee Shire Council and parts of the Merriwa and Rylstone shires were merged. The region is home to the Glen Willow Regional Sporting Complex, a modern sports complex that is located on Pitts Lane, Putta Bucca. Within the complex is the Glen Willow Regional Sports Stadium, which was completed in 2012. The facility is a 10,000-capacity stadium that also has a 1,000 seat undercover grandstand, a self-draining surface that allows continued play even during rain and barbecue facilities.
