Coonamble is a town on the central western plains of New South Wales. It lies on the Castlereagh Highway north- west of Newcastle by approximately 479 km’s.
Bounded on one side by the Warrumbungle National Park and on the other by the western plains and Macquarie Marshes, the district offers the perfect combination of history and country living.
Originally a major sheep industry region, the area is now renowned more recently for its diversified agricultural industries including cattle rearing and is a hub for wheat growing, and wool.
