Avoca Beach is a coastal suburb of the Central Coast region on New South Wales. It is a residential suburb within the city of Gosford on the Tasman Sea. It is 17 km east-southeast of the Gosford central business district and is a popular residential and tourist destination. Avoca Beach is bordered by Bulbararing Lagoon, Saltwater Creek and the ocean to the east and is popular among surfers.
One of the main attractions in Avoca Beach is Captain Cook Lookout, which provides excellent views of the land beyond Avoca Beach. Avoca Lake is situated behind the beach and is a peaceful recreational still-water lagoon that is nice for picnics and walks.
