Church Street Medical Centre opened in April 2008, a collaboration between four doctors and two managers. We remain privately owned with five of the original owners still working here today. Over the years we have grown as a practice and currently have seven part time GPs, full time practice nurse support and many allied health practitioners. Being an ownership group of all women we started the practice to not only provide excellent health care to our community but to recognise and support the need for work/life balance in our workplace. We pride ourselves on achieving this which is reflected, we think in the longevity of service of our staff and doctors, most of which have been with us from the beginning. We are independently assessed and accredited by AGPAL, with a keen interest in ongoing quality improvement and initiatives.

From our beginning in 1971 as a Physiotherapy practice, Mitchell Physiotherapy has always endeavoured to provide the highest quality professional service in an environment where clients feel valued and understood. Since 2015 Mitchell Physiotherapy has been evolving to include more allied health services and hence changed its name to Mitchell Integrated Therapy. The same high quality of care across multiple Allied Health Disciplines. Mitchell Integrated Therapy provides a large range of services to people from all walks of life and all levels of ability and has a selection of products available which clients can use to improve their recovery.

Appointments can be made at any time of the day via phone/answer machine or email. You will normally be able to book an appointment on the day you call, particularly if your health issue requires urgent attention. Home visits are available for Dr William Redmayne's regular clients who are unable to attend the medical practice because of their medical condition. Home visits, including those for people in Aged Care Facilities, are regularly done by Dr Redmayne either during or after practice hours. Home visits can be organised via calling our receptionist. A 15km radius of Cessnock is the usual limit for home visits but longer distances can be catered for at the Doctors discretion. If you need to see a Doctor when the practice is closed then please ring 02 4990 2533 and listen to the recorded message, detailing the name and contact details for the Doctor one call, AND/OR go directly to CESSNOCK HOSPITAL 02 4991 0555 and nursing staff will organise for you to see the GP on call.

Physiotudio Thornton is at 2/2 Poynton Place Thornton, inside the Thornton Health Centre, with plenty of parking and extended trading hours. We have dedicated casting, splinting and bracing capabilities to cater for referrals from the doctors and x ray clinics next door. We offer patients the best in evidence based, modern physiotherapy in our newly developed facility that includes a fully equipped rehabilitation gym and onsite parking at rear. Patients can expect to receive specific and individualised care from an expert. Our expert physiotherapists can deliver you the right care depending on your specific needs and goals. We have expertise in hands on treatment, exercises therapy, movement coaching and rehabilitation. We will spend the time with you giving you the attention you need and deserve.
