Electel was originally established as an electrical contracting business in August 1985 by Howard Truin and three other local electricians from Traralgon – first operating out of a small shed from home and then relocating to a small workshop located on Head Street. Since 1996, Electel has been owned and operated solely by the Truin family. Sadly Howard passed away in May 2016 and the company is now managed by two of Howard and Sally’s children – Steve & Christine, with 12 employees, one being a third generation of the Truin family, Benjamin.
