Tamburlaine is Australia's largest producer of organic wines, although not a large winery in world terms. The winery was established in 1966 in the renowned Pokolbin district of the Hunter Valley. In 1985, a small group of friends and relatives, led by Managing Director and Chief Winemaker, Mark Davidson,purchased the Pokolbin, Hunter Valley winery and vineyard from its founder, Dr Lance Allen. Ten years later, in 1995, Tamburlaine expanded its production and quality base through the acquisition of prime vineyard land in the emerging cool climate Orange wine region in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales. Up to 70% of the annual production now comes from Orange.

We have a wedding sandstone ceremony area with French gates to walk through a large garden area with an indoor industrial / barn look reception area. The two eco cabins hold up to 15 people. Biram Lodge; atop the summit of our property, showcases the most magnificent view of Mt Yengo, which remains a sacred place for the Eastern NSW Aboriginal people today. Noonaweena’s genesis remains steeped in mystery to this day. Known as Noonaweena Health Centre in the 1950’s, Noonaweena is alleged to have been a private destination for the nation’s movers and shakers, who’d mingle amidst chandeliers and mud baths. That said; guests with a penchant for research are welcome to contribute their findings to Noonaweena’s missing years. Following a period known only now though rumour and hearsay, a new chapter in the story of Noonaweena begun in 1999.
