A little about me: I am based in Salamander Bay and provided photography services to mainly the Port Stephens / Hunter / Sydney and South Coast regions however also service internationally. I have been in the graphic design area for 8 years and have concentrated solely on photography for 3 years. I specialise in Editorial and Beauty and bring these skills and love to my client sessions. I am fun and easy to get along with. I actually am one who gets super nervous in front of the camera so I understand some people also have this problem. I bring a relaxed and fun atmosphere to clients when taking photos and concentrate more on capturing moments then poses.

My approach is soft and subtle. My training, love and passion for film photography has lead me to choose the medium of film combined with digital. On your day I will shoot a mixture of digital and film. Film is flaw less, it captures light, skin tones and romance beautifully. Therefore being my go to for those intimate bridal portraits and delicate details.

Studio of ME Photography is located in Nelson Bay but we shoot a lot outdoor in the beautiful environment of Port Stephens, Hunter Valley and surroundings! Filmmaking and cinema have always played an important role in my life. Who doesn’t love lounging around on a rainy Sunday night, cozying up with a film? I have a passion for filmmaking and love working with people to share their stories. My style of filmmaking is intimate but objective, and in the editing suite I work tirelessly to shape the memories made on the day into your unique story. Family has played an important role in my decision to create Thomas James Media, with the business name chosen to honour both of my grandfathers. My main inspiration came from the creation of a short film I made documenting my father’s recovery progress after a life threatening spinal cord injury.
