I put in a watch that was the only possession I had of my Father. I needed a battery to be replaced in the watch only. The watch was in perfect, fully restored order when I dropped it off. I received a call saying that they could not perform the battery replacement. When I picked it up, they handed it to me in several pieces. They explained to me that the seal from the back of the watch was not holding and it needed a new seal. Being a limited edition Seiko watch, I would rather this done by a professional watch restorer. When I took all the received pieces that were handed to me to the restorer, he was appalled straight away. He pointed out to me that there was over 15 plyer marks all over the watch and several broken pieces inside the watch. It was pointed out to me that the back seal was a screw thread type cover, which was clearly opened by pliers instead of unscrewing.
