About
Laser Skirmish is a completely new game developed for the purpose of fun combat games that can be played indoors or outdoors It's just like a live computer game. Laser Skirmish is a complete, balanced and fully play tested game system. It is a team combat simulator played in a variety of locations such as bush land, around buildings or schools and in huge warehouses. Laser Skirmish equipment is 100% portable, tough and weather-proof The game is completely mobile and versatile, so we can also run at your fete, festival, party or practically any other event. The technology enables an extended range of infrared units in all playing conditions. Extensive testing was carried out to achieve optimal levels of range and firepower of each gun/sensor for the most satisfying gaming experience . The effect is a game so thrilling you will want to play over and over again. The combat game of Laser Skirmish has been influenced bymodern computer games and military training scenarios. These scenarios provide team members the opportunity to overcome adversity together, and gain greater understanding of themselves and the team. But most of all it is adrenaline-pumping fun!! Wide Bay Laser Skirmish is locally owned and operated in the Wide Bay Region by Phillip and Rhonda Kay of Apple Tree Creek, near Childers, QLD. Phillip, a radio technician by training, has been involved in the telecommunications and entertainment lighting industries for over thirty years. Phillip (aka Chewy) is the Communications and Armoury Officer, who ensures the guns are in good working order for each mission as well as being the Commanding Officer of Wide Bay Laser Skirmish. Whilst in search of an adventure activity for their sons, Phillip and Rhonda discovered Laser Skirmish over ten years ago in Brisbane when laser skirmish was just starting out. Their sons Timothy and Benjamin still play regularly. The boys have had so much fun shooting each other and especially their mother that the family decided to set up Laser Skirmish in the Wide Bay Region for all to enjoy. Rhonda, who originally trained as secretary and recreation officer whilst working in a QLD forensic lab and hospitals, recently added to her formidable organising skills with a Diploma in Hospitality Management from Wide Bay TAFE. Rhonda (aka Radar) is the Enlistment Officer and ensures that each Skirmish session runs like clockwork. Tim (aka Wookie) and Ben (aka Top Gun), are ranked players. Tim is a Field Commander running the battlefields and missions each week. Ben is a Medic responsible for providing replacements and backup on the field. Their daughter Meghan (aka Elmo) is currently on deployment in Brisbane area helping with another battlefield Laser Assault on the Sunshine Coast. After six years, the Kay Family is excited and looking forward to sharing the Laser Skirmish experience with everyone. So, together with sons Tim and Ben, Phillip ensures that all players have a great time.

Maryborough Military & Colonial Museum Quick Info
About
At the Maryborough Military and Colonial Museum expect the unexpected - the unusual, the quirky and eclectic amongst 4000 items of military and colonial memorabilia, which form displays of exceptional quality. The museum provides a testament to not only those heroes who fought in distant lands to ensure our way of life and prosperity, but also those courageous and determined people who pioneered and progressed the Maryborough area for almost two centuries. The exhibits include 3 Victoria Crosses, a Cross of Valour, many other significant medals, uniforms and period costumes as well as historic vehicles and scale models of ships and planes. For the art lover there is trench art, paintings, murals, wood sculpture and relief carving. Pianists entertain visitors with everything from old wartime favourites to jazz and recent popular music. All this as well as a 2000 book library, primarily of Australian and NZ military history, are housed in a magnificent heritage listed structure built in 1879. Research facilities, including photocopying, are available for family historians. The Museum is part of Maryborough's Portside district which runs from the Brolga Theatre along the Mary River to the Marina and extends out to parts of Kent, Bazaar and March Streets in the CBD. Maryborough's once thriving wharves are long gone, but in their place is an exceptional heritage precinct called Portside - with sensational parklands, museums, restaurants, art galleries, historic pubs, steam train rides and river cruises.

Jrandy33 says don't let the exterior or the landscaping fool you. Australiana Cottage Crafts & Herb Farm is the one place Jrandy33 goes when they visit relatives and inside it is a wonderland where one can let their imagination go wild. They carry various Australiana gifts that are both useful and attractive and Jrandy33 brings home different goodies for everyone in the US to choose from and enjoy. In fact, the whole family gets involved with crafting. Their last purchase was made by the owner's father, which was a carved kookaburra scarf arranger. Australiana Cottage Crafts & Herb Farm is a must-see stop for both tourists and locals, and every year Jrandy33 can't wait to visit.
