ZigZag Whitsundays is a 1 Day tour of the Whitsunday Islands including 2 Beaches, Whitehaven Beach and another, 2 snorkel locations and a resort. The Whitsunday Islands are one of the last truly unspoilt regions on the East Coast where natural attractions are a prelude to complete relaxation. Pristine and beautiful in every way, this region comprises of 74 islands in total and stretches along the coast from Mackay to Bowen. Although extremely remote, you can reach this paradise on ZigZag's Whitsundays Day Trip and explore everything this coastline has to offer. ZigZag is a 39ft Naiad with 4 engines totalling 1200 horsepower. This gives us a cruising speed of 24knotts and top speed of 48knotts. This makes the vessel a fast, yet extremely comfortable ride allowing guests of all ages and adventure levels to participate. Our full day tour of the Whitsundays takes 36 guests and includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon snacks. You will be supplied with stinger suits and snorkeling equipment onboard the boat. That Sapphire Place is an exclusive privately owned gemstone gallery specialising in Queensland Sapphires and designer jewellery. That Sapphire Place is a working gallery with resident, skilled lapidary Peter Harrington, fashioning gemstones from raw crystal in the workshop area within the gallery's showroom space. Entry to the gallery is free. Visitors can expect to see high quality, hand crafted, Australian made, unique jewellery set with natural precious Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, Opal and South Sea Pearls. All jewellery and gemstones are available for sale. Large investment Sapphires are also a must see attraction to the display. Faceted gems up to 25+ carats in size, P.O.A. The largest gem quality Sapphire in the display weighs an impressive 796 carats! It was mined at Rubyvale in Central Queensland in the 1980's and purchased from the miner by Peter Harrington in 1994. That Sapphire Place also provides a gem cutting and jewellery designing service for those who are wanting their own gemstones made into jewellery.
