Twisted Gum Wines is owned by us - Tim and Michelle Coelli. We live and work on the vineyard seven days a week. It is our home, our business and our passion. We are passionate about the amazing wines that can be produced from our little patch of land in the Granite Belt, with this wonderful free draining granite soil and heavenly mountain climate. At Twisted Gum Wines we craft small quantities of premium quality single vineyard wines from our hand-tended Granite Belt vineyard. Kominos Wines invites you through this website to share our love of wine, and the philosophy behind the creation of the wines we produce. Kominos Wines grows, makes and bottles on the high altitude Granite Belt (near Stanthorpe). We attribute our quality and success to our hands on contact with all facets of the production process, and of course our love of wine.

Established in 1998 by Spanish couple, Tom and Cath Jimenez. At the time their vision to experiment with alternative varieties was iconoclastic for the region – a tradition continued today at Ridgemill Estate. Fast forward to 2004, leading Brisbane project manager, Martin Cooper, was contracted to manage the development of the Queensland College of Wine Tourism. While building the college, he’d developed a love for the landscape, the lifestyle and the wines of the Granite Belt. During his opportunities to explore he stumbled across Emerald Hill. Martin was drawn to its natural beauty and the great promise of its wines. Seven days later the Cooper family purchased the property. We endeavour to minimise our intervention in the winemaking process, at the same time we stand by our promise to you, to create wines that have elegance and finesse.

The Bushranger Hideaway �Quality accommodation in Midginbil' The Bushranger Hideaway is a compact resort nestled in the forested foothills of the Nightcap range in Midginbil and features six motel rooms and a self-contained cabin. Newly refurbished and set in a quiet and private environment with stunning mountain views, the spacious and comfortable motel rooms look out across the garden and swimming pool towards Perch Creek. The cabin with separate lounge/kitchen, bedroom and bathroom has also been newly refurbished and looks out on a breathtaking view of Mount Warning across a span of wide water fringed by purple water lilies. The resort is fifteen minutes from the historic and charming Uki Village and thirty minutes from the Murwillumbah. A half an hour south of Midginbil is the famous hippie village of Nimbin. Coolangatta Airport is only forty five minutes away. Famous local restaurants such as �Maggie's Kitchen' and �Sphinx Rock Cafe' are also but a short drive away. The Bushranger Hideaway in Midginbil is the perfect base for the traveller who wants to experience the sights, sounds, tastes and treasures and the awesome beauty of the famous Tweed Caldera, from the inside.
