Cairns Regional Gallery is a very enjoyable old building with three storeys — each with a different theme. A diverse and really interesting collection of creative works, textiles, and artwork. The shop also has a large number of souvenirs and indigenous art that aren't tacky sweatshop replicas.

All free and all to ourselves. Even without the Sidney Nolan Kelly Series exhibit, it would still have been a great local gallery. This made it amazing. Well done, Cairns.

Cairns Regional Gallery has an amazing collection of art. The Ned Kelly paintings by Sydney Nolan were wonderful. It's a beautiful old building with lovely staff.
