Kominos Wines grows, makes and bottles on the high altitude Granite Belt (near Stanthorpe). We attribute our quality and success to our hands on contact with all facets of the production process, and of course our love of wine.

Established in 1998 by Spanish couple, Tom and Cath Jimenez. At the time their vision to experiment with alternative varieties was iconoclastic for the region – a tradition continued today at Ridgemill Estate. Fast forward to 2004, leading Brisbane project manager, Martin Cooper, was contracted to manage the development of the Queensland College of Wine Tourism. While building the college, he’d developed a love for the landscape, the lifestyle and the wines of the Granite Belt. During his opportunities to explore he stumbled across Emerald Hill. Martin was drawn to its natural beauty and the great promise of its wines. Seven days later the Cooper family purchased the property. We endeavour to minimise our intervention in the winemaking process, at the same time we stand by our promise to you, to create wines that have elegance and finesse.

Twisted Gum Wines is owned by us - Tim and Michelle Coelli. We live and work on the vineyard seven days a week. It is our home, our business and our passion. We are passionate about the amazing wines that can be produced from our little patch of land in the Granite Belt, with this wonderful free draining granite soil and heavenly mountain climate. At Twisted Gum Wines we craft small quantities of premium quality single vineyard wines from our hand-tended Granite Belt vineyard. Come experience our full flavoured crisp white wines, our hugely popular Pink Moscato and our signature deep inky-purple red wines - you are sure to find something to excite your palate.

Windorah Visitor Information Centre and the Whitula Gate Museum are located on the main thoroughfare through Windorah, in the heart of the Channel Country. The centres provides a welcome stop during your travels, with Driver Reviver tea and coffee, beautiful gardens, historical displays, road and tourist information and good local knowledge. The friendly staff will make you feel welcome and provide you with all the information you require to make you journey as easy as possible. "Have you seen the Light?" Visit the Min Min Encounter where you will meet eccentric true blue Aussie 'characters' such as Bluey, Mrs McGreal and more who will enthrall you with their stories of the mysterious min min lights. These unexplained balls of glowing light have appeared to travellers for decades with the first recorded sighting at a lonely Cobb and Co staging site in the Boulia Shire. Is it legend, myth, real? Well we are here to tell you and so will the residents and many visitors to the Shire over the years that they are not fanciful tales after a few rums but unexplained and possibly will always remain so. So come and discover them for yourself but remember you don't find the lights they find you!
