We ride through the old logging trails of Black Mountain, lunch at Cooktown crossing and then it's on to the Palmer River goldfields for our first night of bush camping. Day 2 sees us into the ghost town of Maytown, then on to the old Cobb & Co coach trail to Laura, where we spend our second night. On day 3, we leave Laura and head into Lakefield National Park, riding through Battle Camp and then on to Cooktown for our last night of bush camping. Start day 4 with a ride up to Cooktown lookout for some beautiful photo opportunities.
