They say it takes a village to raise a child. Well, I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but at least I'm in the shed. Having grown up here in Mackay, I owe a lot of thanks to my parents and grandparents for raising me in this great town. Where others choose to spread their wings and fly off to distant lands, I chose to stay here in Mackay and dig my roots even deeper. Our programs cater to all skill levels and ages, children as young as 4 years can get involved, all the way through to teens and adults. Types of coaching include: Red, Orange, Green Ball, Groups, Squads, Private Lessons and Fixtures. Rogers Tennis Academy incorporates teaching principles from Tennis Australia.

Old School Kungfu Boxing and Fitness is a Martial Arts and fitness school focussing on Wing Chun Kungfu, boxing and fitness for all ages and abilities. Classes include Kids Boxing, Martial Fitness (kids and adults), Family Wing Chun Kungfu, Adults Wing Chun Kungfu, Qi Gong for Health, Traditional Pole Training and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Ground Work. Training days are Monday and Wednesday afternoon/evening and Saturday mornings. Costs are very reasonable - casual memberships are available. Si Fu Robert Nolan has studied Wing Chun Kungfu for over a decade and is a firm believer in the art as a means not only of self defence, but also personal growth and improvement of health. He learned boxing from a young age and has competed several times in Mixed Martial Arts and Judo competitions. He is passionate about fitness and loves sharing this passion with his students.
