Merriwa Sports Club, The Sports Club was established in 1974 following the amalgamation of the Merriwa Golf Club (first established in the early 1900's)and the Merriwa Bowling Club (established 1951).The Club was called the Merriwa Bowls and Golf Club.

The Stadium is for hire on a casual basis to organisations, clubs & associations. We also run Holiday programs for junior school children & also cater for birthday parties.

Founded in 1997 with the reformation of Australian Rules Football in Tamworth, the Tamworth Swans currently run one senior team whilst working to promote junior football in the region. New players, supporters, volunteers and even hecklers are welcomed.
