This place is not fancy, the food is delicious and fresh, and the staff are welcoming. It's hidden away and most people walk straight past it or just treat it like a takeaway sandwich/coffee shop - which is stupid, because if you have 30 mins, you'll have the best lunch a busy work week can offer.
That breakfast menu has enough options to get me through the day, and my lunch is early enough to have something from that but if you want the open-face salmon sandwich with salad, or fish cakes, or home made chips with your soft drink, this is the place to come.
Good coffee too: rich and not bitter and the cup isn't full of froth. Fresh water out front so you can help yourself; chess and backgammon on that big table but I haven't seen many people play there yet.
I had some fritatta with veggies and fetta (I think they said it was fetta, didn't seem like ricotta) and it was really really nice. Gonna try some cake slice next time.
I came here recently and ordered a pork Kway Teow as well as a different meat noodle dish (can't remember the name). The taste was fine, and the food was fresh, but the dishes were severely lacking in meat! It was almost as if we had ordered a vegetarian dish! I found three tiny pieces of pork. They also took a while to come out. Not the bet experience.
