Reflexology is based on the belief that certain parts of the body reflect the whole. Reflex points found in the hands, feet, face and ears respond to pressure, initiating the body's own healing process, which brings about balance. The reflex areas on the feet resemble all body parts, representing a miniature version of the body, with all body parts in a parallel arrangement.
