Salamander Bay Veterinary Clinic is centrally located at Salamander Bay, Port Stephens. We provide medical and surgical care for dogs and cats, as well as treating other animals such as birds, guinea pigs, reptiles and wildlife and, most importantly, we are open 7 days, with 24 hour emergency service available (only for existing clients). We have a strong focus on preventive health care and offer services in medicine, surgery and diagnostics, behavior, as well as ancillary services such as grooming, nutrition and food supplies, pet accessories, puppy pre school and dog obedience training. Salamander Bay Veterinary Clinic has been providing quality veterinary care to the Port Stephens area for over 20 years from its location adjacent to the Salamander Shopping Centre on Salamander Way. Mark Dowden and his dedicated staff aim to achieve the best possible outcome for our clients and their pets for all their health needs. A full range of medical and surgical services is available, including endscopy, ultrasound, radiology, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. We are also more than happy to refer cases to a range veterinary specialists where this is needed. Although most of the animals we treat are cats and dogs, we also are happy to see a wide range of other companion animals such as birds, rabbits, ferrets, fish, mice, rats and guinea pigs. The practice has always provided free treatment for injured wild animals as a community service.
