Welcome to The Path of the Horse, a counselling service and psychotherapy centre located in Trentham. Our unique approach combines room-based psychotherapy sessions with the therapeutic presence of our magnificent herd of horses. We specialise in supporting individuals with various forms of Post Traumatic Stress Injury, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. Additionally, we offer Equine Assisted Learning sessions to enhance mental well-being for both children and adults, including NDIS participants. Let our horses guide you towards healing and growth.

I am a experienced Psychotherapist/ Counsellor who works with adults, couples and children to make their lives better. I have worked in private practice, community settings and feel comfortable working with people from all walks of life. I use a variety of approaches to find what fits with individual clients. I have studied Gestalt Psychotherapy/Counselling, CBT, Mindfulness, Buddhist Psychology as well as Body therapies. I do believe people are inherently good and happy but sometimes get blocked and cannot reach their potential. Part of the work is to let them gain the space to be free and happy again.

Here at The Horse's Heartbeat the animals are at the centre of all we do. We have a herd of five horses - two miniature ponies and three 'big' horses. The horses, along with our dog, cat, four sheep and many chickens all form part of The Horse's Heartbeat team.
