Djarragun College is an independent, Anglican, coeducational school which caters specifically for Indigenous students. The College promotes excellence in education with a strong emphasis on Christian values. The College has two campuses at Gordonvale and Wangetti, managed by one Principal/CEO and administration team with two different teams of staff. The Gordonvale campus (13.6 hectares) opened in 2001 and has a current enrolment of 420 students from pre-prep to grade 12 and post-school vocational education and training. The Wangetti campus opened in 2009 and has students from grades 10 to 12. Boarding programs are offered to both girls and boys in our on-site boarding hostels for students in grades 8 to 13. The College places great emphasis on competency in literacy and numeracy through our Direct Instruction program. Students also have opportunities to develop vocational skills that will help them become active and contributing citizens of the community. We offer programs that will support the development of each student spiritually, emotionally, socially and academically.
