My friend went to buy a generator from Ongmac in January 2015 so she could run a 2.5kw air conditioner for short periods of time. After providing the details of her potential energy usage, she was sold a 2kw generator on the basis that it could handle this size an air conditioner for the time period described. On good faith, she purchased the generator and later found out that it was not fit for purpose. Recently (February 2015), she attempted to return the generator. The person who served her told her that a 3kw generator could not run a 2.5kw air conditioner (?!), and later attempted to sell her a 4.5kw generator for the same price as her 2kw generator (the 2kw generator had an inverter, which she did not need - which makes me wonder why they did not try and sell her the 4.5kw generator in the first place...).
