Overall, my experience with Mackay City Gates and Fencing was terrible. I decided to replace my cyclone damaged aluminium fence with frameless glass. The advice given to me by MCG&F regarding pool fencing regulations was wrong, and I wasted significant time planning for something I didn't need (electrical earthing). They came twice to measure the fence, and still got it wrong. It took 6 weeks to get the fence installed after paying up front. When the installation day finally came, they brought a panel of the wrong size and left the pool unsecured (no gate and no temporary fence or barrier) before coming back week and a half later (I had to call to find out when they were coming, not even a courtesy call!). They left the glass dirty and grout stains on my newly concreted pool area. Then I found a chip in one of the brand new panels. They agreed to rectify the problem, but offered no apology or recompense for all the problems I encountered. Don't use this company!
